The Trans-Disciplinary Emergency Management Program at Casa Loma College has been developed to further the knowledge base and advancement of emergency service workers such as firefighters, EMTs, nurses, police/sheriffs, military personnel and emergency management professionals.
New government mandates and the recent impacts of natural hazards on communities throughout the world have made emergency mangement knowledge and skills one of the most prized assets that employers are seeking. Healthcare workers, nurses and public health employees are all mandated to have the basic skills needed to work with the National Incident Management System. Private and public organizations have discovered that proper Emergency Management is just good Management - while enhancing resiliency in periods of crisis it also provides improved operations and attitudes on a daily basis.
The Trans-Disciplinary Emergency Management is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) recognized by the United States Department of Education as an accrediting agency.
The Program was created by experts in the Emergency Management, Fire Services and Education field for:

- Anyone who needs extensive skills in emergency management, including preparedness, recovery, response and mitigation.
The Trans –Disciplinary Emergency Management Program is based on the standards of:

This program utilizes both asynchronous and synchronous delivery methods via Blackboard Academic Suite in the courses and programs, which are consistent with the level, nature and mission of the college. These programs meet the same high academic and quality standards maintained in regular instruction offered by Casa Loma College.
